All Star Cheer
LEVEL 1 TEAM
All Star Cheerleading Level 1 is the first step young cheerleaders take in the sport. Most cheerleaders competing at this level have never cheered before or have not cheered for long. The goal at this level is to introduce basic stunting, jumps, and dance. While the tumbling passes are simple in All Star Cheerleading Level 1, they lay the right foundation for more advanced tumbling. It’s also very important to teach good conditioning habits at this stage because those habits are the framework for the increasingly difficult skills to follow as cheerleaders progress to more advanced levels of cheerleading. The following lists the skills each Level 1 Cheerleader should be familiar with and able to perform:
*Level 1 Tumbling Skills*
Forward Roll, Back Roll, Cartwheel, Round Off, Bridge, Back Bend Kick Over, Front Limber, Hand Stand Step Down, Hand Stand Forward Roll
*Level 1 Dance Skills*
Basic motion technique, correct placement, able to count music, able to hit motions on correct beat, formation changes while dancing, performs basic level changes
*Level 1 Stunt Skills*
Thigh Stand, Thigh Stand Sequence, Below Prep Level Sequence, Single Leg Variation Below Prep Level, Elevator / Prep – 2 feet, Elevator / Pencil Dismount, Elevator / Cradle, Elevator / Turn-Moving, Shoulder Sit / Prep, Stunt Transition – 3 skills
Practice Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 5:30-7:30pm
ConXion Force offers a beginner competitive program for our cheerleaders who like to perform and share their love of cheer throughout the community. This program allows cheerleaders to ease into the competitive cheer world with guidance and develop an understanding of the competitive cheer world. Choreography and cheer technique is taught weekly in class. Cheerleaders must be confident on stage, able to remember choreography, have great attendance, and a willingness to learn.
Class Requirements: Ages 5-8 and minimum of 1 year in gymnastics or tumbling. Must have a minimum of 5 participants.
